 Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast (born 7 May 1998), is an American YouTube personality and businessman. [6] He has been acknowledged as the pioneer of a new genre of YouTube videos that focus on costly stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson started uploading videos to YouTube in early 2012 at 13 years old under the username "MrBeast6000"; his early content ranged from Let's Plays to "videos which estimated the riches of other YouTubers." He went viral in 2017 thanks to his "Counting to 100,000" video, which was able to receive thousands of views in only a few days. Donaldson hired his childhood friends to help run the brand when it began to expand. As of 2022, the MrBeast team consisted of 60 people.Donaldson's main YouTube channel, which surpassed 100 million subscribers on July 28, 2022, is called "MrBeast".
